Milo Family Practice is owned and operated by Mayo Regional Hospital and is staffed by two physicians and one physician assistant. Three medical assistants support the primary care providers, and there are two clerical staff and one office coordinator.
The office is open Monday through Friday, with two providers on duty each day. Milo Family Practice offers a variety of services including adult physicals, well-child physicals, routine medical visits, chronic illness care, complete obstetrics care, osteopathic manipulation, minor skin lesion removals, endometrial biopsies, strep tests, pregnancy tests and blood draws. Counseling services are offered each week by a provider from the Mayo Counseling Program.

Margaret “Maggie” Swan PA-C
Physician Assistant
Education: A graduate of the Physician Assistant program at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, Swan is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Other: Prior to becoming a PA, Swan worked in healthcare for over 20 years as a Clinical Medical Technologist, with most that time spent in the laboratory at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockland. She earned her clinical laboratory license at the former Thayer Hospital School of Medical Technology in Waterville.
Swan has worked since 2001 as a physician assistant at Husson Internal Medicine in Bangor. She started her PA career with Mayo at Dexter Family Practice in 1996, providing pediatric, adult medicine and geriatric primary care.
